(GTA 5) Police Car Hit By Train

This one was inspired by a real-life incident that happened in Texas, where a Sheriff's Deputy drove around the gate at a train crossing immediately after a train passed by - only to get hit by another train traveling the opposite direction on the other tracks. Being that a train can weigh tens of millions of pounds (as opposed to a few thousand pounds for a normal Chevy Tahoe), and can take over a mile to stop, this incident demonstrates extreme carelessness and wanton disregard on the part of the deputy.

Instead of being a train at a train crossing, imagine this as being a busy intersection and a family car hidden by other traffic and unaware of the police vehicle. This incident is roughly the equivalent of going into a busy intersection at speed without slowing down and clearing the intersection.

It's a good thing the deputy only suffered minor injuries, and it's an awfully good thing that the deputy's recklessness and disregard didn't lead to innocent people being hurt or killed.

Burning Wet Leaves In The Naturally Aspirated Burn Barrel

Finally, a real-life video. I had loaded my naturally aspirated burn barrel with leaves and pine straw, but before I could burn it, a series of thunderstorms moved through. The leaves and pine straw in the barrel got wet. After about a week of drying out, I decided to try to burn the leaves. It didn't work out all that well.

Interestingly enough, Dailymotion originally flagged this video as "inappropriate" which resulted in a black thumbnail that simply said "Explicit Content." It also resulted in the video being invisible and unavailable unless viewers were signed in and had the family filter turned off. All because of the word "wet" in the title. It sounds to me like Dailymotion needs to get their heads out of the gutter.

Real Life: Supercharged Burn Barrel

Finally, a real-life video from YardDart.

This is a demonstration of my "supercharged" burn barrel, making short work of 55 gallons of leaves and pine straw.

I first got the idea by watching a YouTuber by the name of "VenomChris" demonstrate his leaf blower-forced burn barrel. The diameter of my induction pipe is a couple inches too small, but it's what I had on-hand.

General Shenanigans: BonziBuddy Meets Dr. Evil

In this video, we loaded up the infamous BonziBuddy, and had him quote one of the Austin Powers movies.

I didn't have internet access when I was young, because internet access didn't exist in rural areas yet. A relative who had internet access downloaded a "desktop assistant" program called BonziBuddy, and sent it to me via floppy disk (remember those?), which I thought was the neatest thing in the world.

Many years later, after the whole debacle about BonziBuddy being malware, I found that floppy disk, and decided to load it on an old computer that had a floppy drive. You know, for nostalgia.

("Play it once, Sam. For old time's sake.")

I remembered that BonziBuddy had a text-to-speech function, so I typed in Dr. Evil's famous quote about his childhood. I thought it was pretty cool, so I then recorded it on my phone.

Kitten vs DVD Player

My cat, then just a kitten, playing with the disc tray on my DVD player.

Another video

These are two early videos I made for YouTube, of my cat chasing pecans and playing with the disc tray of my DVD player.
