GTA V Trucking #7 - Recovering Stolen Cars

In the last episode, we hauled an empty trailer down to Los Santos for an incoming shipment of vehicles. While we were on patrol in Blaine County, we received word that the shipment of cars had come in, but was stolen by Devin Weston. In this video, we hustle down to Los Santos International and take back our vehicles.

GTA V Police Chase - Unfair Advantage

I was messing around with the trainer and turned the engine power and torque multipliers on. As I was messing around with my newly-created super truck, I had an idea to do a police chase video. The engine hacks, combined with the Benefactor Terrorbyte's stock size and weight, meant that we had a seriously unfair advantage over our pursuers. That is, until I hit another vehicle and was ejected from the truck. Guess I should have worn my seatbelt.

GTA V Trucking #6 - Cop Turned Truck Driver

In this video, we take a break from policing, trading in our Declasse Alamo for a Jobuilt Phantom. Our mission today is pretty simple: haul an empty trailer down to Los Santos in preparation for an incoming shipment of vehicles.

GTA V LSPDFR #27 - Motor Patrol

Finally getting to demonstrate a new mod that changes the Sheriff's station in Paleto Bay to a SAHP station. Oddly enough, in vanilla GTA V, SAHP has no building anywhere on the map, but their bikes (which are actually LSPD bikes) spawn at various police and Sheriff station. This simple visual mod "gives" SAHP a station of their own, although it doesn't change what vehicles spawn there or what it's listed as in LSPDFR.

In this video, we patrol the western highways on a motorcycle. To meet Dailymotion's strict 2GB file size limit, I had to omit the intro, outro, court results, and a few traffic stops. Oddly enough, DM now allows up to 4k resolution video, but still has a 2GB file size limit. Since I'm using a different video editor that exports the video differently, I'm now significantly limited in the amount of content I can put in a LSPDFR patrol, due to the file size limit of Dailymotion.

GTA V LSPDFR #26 - Air Support

In this patrol, our Declasse Rancher patrol vehicle is significantly outperformed by both the suspect's vehicle and our own backup units. Due to the suspect being involved in shooting at officers near Sandy Shores, we borrowed an armed helicopter from Merryweather and quickly took down the suspect with minimal collateral damage. This could definitely be considered a "bad cop" episode.

GTA V LSPDFR #25 - Hit By A Train

I know, the video's title is a bit misleading because it implies that our patrol car was hit by a train. In this video, we patrol the streets of Los Santos, and witness a pedestrian get hit by a train. Fortunately it only knocked the pedestrian out, so we were able to revive him and call an ambulance for him.

GTA V LSPDFR #24 - Drunk On Duty

This is the LSPDFR patrol that the previous video (Drunk Cop Arresting Drunk Driver) was taken from. In this patrol, we portray an officer drinking on the job.

This was inspired by a few different real-life incidents, the first being a former local cop who reportedly showed up for work while drunk a number of times. This was also inspired by a skit by comedian Jon Reep, who portrayed a highly intoxicated cop who had pulled over a significantly less intoxicated driver. Also, videos of LEOs across the USA drinking on the job helped inspire this patrol.

GTA V - Drunk Cop Arresting Drunk Driver

This one is a short clip from a LSPDFR patrol, depicting an intoxicated driver getting arrested by a cop who is also intoxicated.

This was inspired by a video by comedian Jon Reep (the same Jon Reep known for "That thing got a HEMI?" Dodge ads), showing a slightly intoxicated driver being stopped by a very intoxicated cop.

GTA V - Cop Driving Drunk

This one was inspired by a few real-life incidents of law enforcement officers driving while drunk. Sadly, a Chicago woman lost her life due to an off-duty Chicago officer driving drunk and crashing through the restaurant she was patronizing.

GTA V Police Chase - Roman's Taxi on the Nurburgring

This video combines several mods, the first being Roman Bellic's Albany Esperanto taxicab imported from IV by 11john11 and others. Of course, it wouldn't be the Nurburgring without Vans123's hard work in modeling and porting the famous track into GTA V. Last but not least, various addon police cars from various modders helped create the police chase.

Bad Drivers Of San Andreas

I had installed and was testing a mod that was supposed to "get the grannies of San Andreas off the roads" and make AI drivers a bit less apprehensive. By default, the AI drivers have a "Little Old Lady" driving style. This mod added the "From Pasadena" to it.

(I realize not everyone grew up listening to classic rock and roll, and may not recognize that reference. "The Little Old Lady From Pasadena" is a late-60s song by the surf rock duo Jan and Dean that describes a little old lady who drives a brand-new shiny red Super Stock Dodge.)

This video shows some of the effects of the mod.

GTA V Police Chase - The Dukes

Just a good ole boy, never meaning no harm. In this video, we lead deputies and SAHP troopers on a chase in an Imponte Dukes that may or may not intentionally be reminiscent of the General Lee from The Dukes Of Hazzard. I think Roscoe P Coltrane would have been able to keep up with us, though.

GTA V LSPDFR #23 - Clown Attack

This started out as a County patrol in Sandy Shores. We tried to stop a speeding driver on the freeway,  but the speeding driver wouldn't stop. They led us on a chase deep into Los Santos city, and ran a short distance on foot before being apprehended. While we were trying to make our way back toward the county, we were dispatched to an attempted murder that was occurring right behind us. The suspect, dressed in a clown outfit, managed to stab the victim before we apprehended him. However, we performed CPR on the victim and kept them alive.

LSPDFR Shenanigans - The Long Pursuit

This pursuit actually started near Del Perro, but I didn't think to start recording until near Los Santos Airport. I was on patrol as a SAHP trooper in Lundy's CHP 1983 Dodge Diplomat, and tried to stop a Canis Seminole for a traffic violation. It quickly became apparent to me that the Diplomat was barely able to keep up with the Seminole. We wound up surrounding the vehicle at the Rebel Radio building in Harmony.

GTA V ELS Siren Bug

So I finally decided to try real car models with ELS lights. In my testing, I found an interesting bug that occurs when changing ELS siren tones. If you're close enough to them, blipped suspects (whether blipped for a traffic stop or because they're actively fleeing) will drive away from you in a straight line when you change siren tones in an ELS vehicle. As I discovered later, this bug can be worked around by changing a setting in the INI file.

GTA V Tow Truck Shenanigans

This one hearkens back to the days of GTA San Andreas, when I first found out what happens when you hook multiple tow trucks together and try to turn smoothly. Some of you may already know what I'm talking about here. In this video, we attempt to recreate in GTA V the explosive wrecking ball effect that GTA:SA made famous.

GTA V Police Chase - Stolen Police Car

This one is pretty simple: we stole a cop car right in front of officers, and led them on a little chase.

GTA V Police Chase - Towed!

One day while I was playing the storyline and doing Tonya's towing jobs, I had an idea to see what would happen if I hooked onto a police car. Apparently the police don't like having their cars towed away.

(GTA 5) Police Car Hit By Train

This one was inspired by a real-life incident that happened in Texas, where a Sheriff's Deputy drove around the gate at a train crossing immediately after a train passed by - only to get hit by another train traveling the opposite direction on the other tracks. Being that a train can weigh tens of millions of pounds (as opposed to a few thousand pounds for a normal Chevy Tahoe), and can take over a mile to stop, this incident demonstrates extreme carelessness and wanton disregard on the part of the deputy.

Instead of being a train at a train crossing, imagine this as being a busy intersection and a family car hidden by other traffic and unaware of the police vehicle. This incident is roughly the equivalent of going into a busy intersection at speed without slowing down and clearing the intersection.

It's a good thing the deputy only suffered minor injuries, and it's an awfully good thing that the deputy's recklessness and disregard didn't lead to innocent people being hurt or killed.

GTA V Speeding Cops Compilation

Building on the information I gave in the last post/video, this video is a GTA V simulation of how I've seen some of the local cops driving in real life.

GTA V Police Chase - Dukes Daytona

Dani02 created a very nicely done lore-friendly version of the 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona with this Imponte Dukes Daytona. Although the fixed headlights make it a bit reminiscent of the car Vin Diesel drove in Fast And Furious 6, it is a very nicely done car. In fact, being the classic car lover that I am, I wouldn't mind having one in real life.

In this video, we give it a nice test by leading LSPD on a chase in it.

Burning Wet Leaves In The Naturally Aspirated Burn Barrel

Finally, a real-life video. I had loaded my naturally aspirated burn barrel with leaves and pine straw, but before I could burn it, a series of thunderstorms moved through. The leaves and pine straw in the barrel got wet. After about a week of drying out, I decided to try to burn the leaves. It didn't work out all that well.

Interestingly enough, Dailymotion originally flagged this video as "inappropriate" which resulted in a black thumbnail that simply said "Explicit Content." It also resulted in the video being invisible and unavailable unless viewers were signed in and had the family filter turned off. All because of the word "wet" in the title. It sounds to me like Dailymotion needs to get their heads out of the gutter.

GTA V Police Chase - North Yankton Cop Cars

The DispatchWorks pack by the Vanillaworks Team includes a number of more modern North Yankton State Patrol vehicles. In this episode, I demonstrate a few of those vehicles - but I'm the one being chased. It's a real shame that the Rockstar developers didn't make more of North Yankton solid and usable.

GTA V Police Chase - Cinematic Camera

Dani02 created the Declasse Lentus as another lore-friendly version of the Chevy El Camino. In this video, we use the Lentus to run from LSPD, with one little twist: the chase is almost completely in cinematic camera mode. For me, this was actually a new take on something I did many years ago in GTA San Andreas. I wish I could find and upload that video, but the VHS tape it's on is probably long gone by now.

GTA V Police Chase - Wrong Side Of The Road

A number of people worked hard to create this Annis Elegy RH-5, which was included in the VanillaWorks pack. Being a right-hand-drive vehicle, I decided to have a little fun and try to portray a tourist who is accustomed to driving on the left side of the road, which quickly caught the attention of Blaine County deputies.

GTA V Police Chase - Lime Green Elegy

Bob322 created this very ricer-looking car, which was included in the VanillaWorks pack. We picked a very ricer color for our car and had some fun with Blaine County deputies (their vehicles also being from the VanillaWorks pack).

GTA V Police Chase - Monster Limousine

Bob322 took a normal Albany Emperor limousine (which is itself the work of the IVPack team) and made it into a monster truck. In this episode, we have some fun with the LSPD in this monster limousine.
