It's a wonder the Families and the Ballas didn't start shooting.

GTA V Racing - Galileo Observatory Bicycle Race

A good, old-fashioned bicycle race.



This race takes place on the roads near the Galileo Observatory, and is run on bicycles. No handling or horsepower advantages here, just muscle, stamina and skill.

GTA V Racing - Box Truck Tour De State with traffic

This race is similar to the previous, except slower.



This race takes place over the same route as the previous Tour De State race, but the competitors are all box trucks. Additionally, now we have to maneuver our way around traffic.

GTA V Racing - Tour De State

A long-distance race spanning almost the entire perimeter of the map.



This race starts on the 15 (Palomino Freeway) in the Palomino Highlands, passes by Grapeseed and continues through Paleto Bay and Chumash on the 1, splits off onto the La Puerta Freeway, then re-joins the 15 back to where the race started.

It's a tour of the State of San Andreas, hence the name Tour De State.

And it's done in classic sports cars.

GTA IV Racing - 18 Ruiners 30 Laps

In this video, we race 18 Imponte Ruiners around the airport road for 30 laps.



At the start of the race, we pulled over and gave the entire field a 3 lap head-start. By the 24th lap, we had caught back up and taken the lead. Of course, by that time, most of our competition had wrecked their cars. By the final lap, there was only one opponent still running.

In this video, we drag race several cars from the LCPD substation at the east end of Topaz Street in Algonquin, to Rand Avenue in Alderney.



According to the game's distance counter, our dragstrip is 0.6 miles long, over twice the length of a normal quarter-mile dragstrip.

GTA IV Racing - FIA Taxi Race

In this video, we race 18 Vapid Stanier taxis around the airport road in GTA IV for 30 laps.



Or that was the plan, anyway.

We gave the entire field a 1-lap head start, and by the 13th lap, we had caught up and took the lead.

To illustrate how poorly the AI drivers drive, by lap 26 all of our opponents had wrecked their cars. Then two laps later we wrecked our car, and in Ricky Bobby style (or Forrest Gump style?), finished the final three laps on foot.

GTA IV Racing - 18 Comets 18 Laps

In these two videos, we race 18 Comets around the airport road in GTA IV.

This is done by use of a script modification. For the time being, 17 AI cars is the maximum that can be part of the race, and all cars involved in the race are the same model. This is a limitation of the script.

The first video is the race without AI traffic.



The second video is a race with AI traffic that the racers have to maneuver around.
